Summary: [Complete] After breaking up with Heechul, Kangin goes on a drinking spree from bar to bar before being tossed out of one. Donghae and Brian happen to find him on the sidewalk and end up taking care of him.
Donghae walked out of a convenience store, happily swinging his overly-full plastic bag of newly boughten snacks as he began his venture back to the dorms.
Kangin had been happily moving from bar to bar at the time, buying his drinks, and downing them usually in one sitting. It wasn't until he could feel the tipsy, feel how buzzed he was getting that he was told to leave from the last one, sitting down onto the sidewalk. The world was spinning for Kangin and all that he could think of was getting more of that.
Narrowly dodging one drunk person being supported by someone else, Donghae looked over and spoted someone sitting on the sidewalk and swaying where he sat. Figuring that it couldn't hurt, he goes over to him. "Hey, are you alright...?"
At first, Kangin didn't hear Donghae talking to him, thinking he was talking to someone else, but as he saw the other come closer, he grinned. "Hae face!" He said enthusiastically, looking up at the other with his goofy smiling drunk face. "I mished you!"
"Kangin hyung??" He blinks in surprise and then sits on the sidewalk with him. "Hyung, what're you doing out here by yourself?" He turns his head in several directions, trying to see if anyone came with him.
Giving a nod and another grin, Kangin leaned his head onto Donghae's shoulder, swaying just a bit from the movement. "Broke up with Heeeeechul...went...and got drunk...." He seemed proud of the fact that he was drunk, just happily resting against the other's body.
Donghae lets Kangin rest against him, trying to register what the other said. "You guys broke up...?" He frowns slightly. "You're definately here by yourself aren't you?"
"Yup! We broke up!" Kangin used his hands as he pretended he was breaking something in them. "All alooooooooooooone." Everything he said was slurred or stretched to the extremes as he snuggled Donghae.
Brian was outdoors right now, looking for a place to walk to seeing how it didn't seem right to be in the mansion at the moment. While walking along one of the sidewalks, he thought that he spotted two of his classmates.
Sighing, he hugs the older boy. "Ooooii, hyung, you're not alone, you have me and your other friends to help you, ya know?" In his mind, he was trying to figure out how he was going to get him back to the dorms when he remembered that he didn't know where Kangin's room was and felt that he couldn't ask because it was late at night.
The hug only made Kangin laugh as he gladly returned it, snuggling up more into Donghae if it were possible. "Nooooo. I'm too caring and I onlys piss people off..." Obviously, he was speaking of what had conspired between himself and Heechul earlier, shaking his head a bit.
Walking closer to them now, he could hear the faint words exchanging in between them. He really wanted to see what was happening in between them, then again, something about this was telling him that he should just leave it be. His curiosity had gotten the better of him this time, as always. "... Kangin? Donghae?"
He looks up when he hears someone call his name and he blinks a few times to re-adjust looking up at the person with the light behind them. "...Brian?"
Kangin turned his head to see if it truly was Brian standing near them, but immediately regretted it as his head swam with the liquor coursing through his body. He swayed just slightly, using his hands behind him to balance as his head tilted backwards to look at the other. "Hey Brian!" He exclaimed with a grin.
Brian raised one hand to wave at both of them, crouching down so that he was able to be at eye level with the two. "... What's happening here?" He couldn't help but to feel that Kangin was ... a little off.
He kept his arms around him, not sure that if the other would topple over if he let go of him. "Ahh, Kangin hyung...got himself drunk..." He omitted the reason that Kangin was drinking for, uncertain about telling anyone else that he'd broken up with Heechul.
It was hard for him to make sense of any of this really, just swiveling his head a bit from one person to the next as they talked. All which were bad ideas for him really. "Not...my fault..."
"What are you doing out when you're drunk then?" Brian shook his head as he didn't want to press the matter more, so for right now, he tried thinking of how they could probably talk ..somewhere safer, per se. "How about we go back to the mansion and help you there, Kangin?"
Unsure of what Kangin was talking about now, he just pet his hair while looking up at Brian. "Do you know the way to Kangin hyung's room? I don't know where it is since I haven't been there before..."
"Got drunk out here." Kangin said with a grin meant for Brian to see, leaning more into Donghae at the petting. "No! Can't go there...Heeeechul's there..." He'd have to go back one way or the other he realized in the back of his mind, but he didn't want to have to deal with the older man.
He turns back to look at him. "Not your room? Do you want to relax in mines then?" Donghae hesitates with the petting, trying to come up with another place for Kangin to rest in if he refused his room as well.
Brian believed that he could understand that something happened between Kangin and Heechul, but that was it for now. "Okay, we won't go back to the mansion if you don't want to. But is there any other place where we can talk to to keep you safe? ... Any place you would like to go to right now?"
"Home..." Was the only place he could think of and really wanted to go, but it was hours away from the mansion. Not to mention, the people in his hometown certainly wouldn't want him back, and more than likely, his parents wouldn't even be there. The thought alone and just everything in general was enough to make him tear, sighing heavily. "Hae faces room...or a hotel..."
"Aaaahh, Brian, do you know any hotels around here?" Going back to his room probably wasn't a good idea since Heechul knew where his room was and could be liekly to drop by to his room.
"No, not really. ... But I remember passing by this one house that was on sale ... don't think you'd find anyone there." He stood up from his spot, looking at the wall. "It's not too far away, but I think it might be far enough." And he made a portal to the said house. Furniture was in there so they could get comfortable.
Kangin stood up and was a bit wobbly on his feet of course, using Brian's shoulder to balance himself for a moment, gripping it a bit. "Thanks Brian..." He mumbled, still feeling heavily intoxicated, but it was coming down enough to where he could talk a bit more easily as he moved through the portal.
He would have to admit that he has been in this house a couple times in the past, so it was like he knew where places were in the house. For the time being, he helped Kangin through the portal, sitting him down on the couch before closing the portal up after the three of them came through.
Donghae picks up his plastic bag and follows after Kangin into the portal. "Hey, Brian...How'd you know that no one lives here?" He sets the bag back down, his eyes taking in the whole room with interest.
Brian pause for a moment when he heard that, looking back to Donghae with guilty eyes. "Okay, so I've been here before. It looked comfy."
He laughs and shakes his head. "Naw, It's ok, it came in handy right? So I think it should be fine as long as we don't mess anything up...." He looks over at Kangin to check his state.
Kangin pulled off the bag he had had around his shoulders for the entire night, setting it aside next to the couch once he was seated. He would need things for tonight and tomorrow if he was to stay there until Friday, but at that moment, he was just too damn tired to care. "I'll need things soon..." He mumbled with a yawn, finding himself flopping over onto the couch.
"Hm .. I don't know if you'll be able to stay here for that long." He took a seat on one of the adjacent chairs. "Maybe we can go around and find another place for you to stay? A hotel is kind of expensive and I don't want to bend the law that far."
"Hotel is fine...credit card in my wallet..." He mumbled once more, having at least enough on the card for one night in a hotel. By now he could feel his eyelids had grown heavy and they were slowly closing on him as he curled up more into the couch. "Night..."
He shrugs his shoulders and starts searching for something, talking quietly to Brian. "Are we staying with him during that time?" he makes a small sound when he finds what he's looking for and walks back to the couch Kangin's sleeping on with a small pillow and blanket in his hands.
Still sitting down on the chair, he was looking at Kangin, but then turned his eyes to Donghae. "I'm not sure, but I want to stay with him for tonight considering the state that he's in now. He's old enough to take care of himself .. although I don't want him to use his money for a hotel."
Donghae nods and unfolds the blanket and covers the sleeping teen with one movement after carefully sticking the pillow under his head. With that accomplished, Donghae sighs and plops down onto the floor with a dull thud and leans against the wall, yawning. "I think Kangin hyung's got the right idea though, it's gettin' pretty late..."
Kangin smiled a bit in his sleep and snuggled comfortably up under his blanket, mumbling a few things incoherently. Mostly about his night.
"Yeah ... seems like it." He scratched his head, looking back to Kangin and then to Donghae. "I can portal you back to your room if you want, unless you want to stay here, too."
"I'll stay here as well, I don't think I'll be able to leave with a clear conscious knowing that I left him alone when he was drunk..." He leans over and rummages around the area where he found the pillow and blankets and pulls out a few more, keeping some for himself and tossing the others to Brian. "Well~ I'm gonna stay up for a bit to make sure that he doesn't puke in his sleep, so you can go ahead and sleep first?"
He nodded. "Hm, okay. Wake me up if you need anything or need to go anywhere seeing as ... you kind of don't know where we are right now ..." He placed the pillow behind his head, curling up on the furniture that he was on to get comfortable when spreading the blanket over himself. ".. Good night then."
"Good night~" He gives one more nod and wraps the blanket around him, shoving the pillow behind as a cushion as he began his night watch.
